Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the entire casino premises to a very high standard
  • Cleaning the entire casino (indoors)
  • Steam cleaning all carpets (each quarter)
  • Dusting high places (chandeliers, animal mounts and ledges)
  • Every day - cleaning all washrooms, cleaning toilets, cleaning toilet stalls, cleaning sanitary napkin trash cans, cleaning sinks, cleaning mirrors and replenishing toilet paper, paper towel and soap
  • Cleaning casino equipment (ATM machines, kiosk machines, monitors, etc.)
  • Stripping and waxing assigned floors
  • Ordering supplies as needed
  • Inspecting public areas to ensure Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza highest standards are maintained and adhered to
  • Maintaining supplies inventory and contributing to the economical operation of the company through effective and timely control/acquisition of supplies and equipment for the department
  • Performing other tasks assigned
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Minimal security tasks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred (but not necessary)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to stand/walk for 8 hours/day
  • Able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
  • Able to work in a smoking environment
  • The schedule for this position may vary and would require shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays as a majority of the cleaning is done after we are closed (3:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work as a team
  • Able to work independently
  • Remaining clam under pressure
  • Knowing how to prioritize
  • Able to multitask
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to obtain an AGLC license
